Thanks for reading my blog, and for your comment, wiccagirl. I would like Adam Lambert to win, but my post is not about that, which is why I am a bit uncomfortable with your reply. I decided to let it go through anyway. My blog is not about selling anything, or getting people to do anything. I didn't post about American Idol because I wanted people to vote for Adam.

My post is also not just about Adam Lambert, who is, oddly enough, not in my preferred musical genre, and he's not in my preferred style of male vocalists. Preference for one contestant over another is not always about what we think of their choices in romantic partners. You can want someone else to win for all kinds of reasons - it's about what appeals to you. No choice is the wrong choice. On Adam's singing - it's great, spectacular, but personally, like masterclass lady said, I'd like to see more of his excellent baratone range. I understand that his upper vocal range is so dramatic, thus the tendency to use it a lot, but I'd like to see more songs utilizing his lower range.

What makes Adam special, aside from his great voice - he's an excellent performer, and one who makes interesting musical choices. I'd like to see him in concert, doing his own material.

Let's get back to Chris Daughtry, who I like just as much as Adam Lambert. What I think they have in common on their American Idol performances - they seem fully formed as musicians and performers - as people who could sell albums, as people I'd want to see live, playing at big venues. They both seem to know what they are about, what makes them special. They are both confident, but not arrogant. I like that.

Getting back to their on screen personnas - on how they dress - both of them have a deliberate, calculated look, which works very well for them. Their clothes look good on their bodies, fit them well, and they can move in them, easily. Both of them know what to do with their bodies on stage, and how to dress said bodies - something not shared by many of the other contestants. The choices they made suited their on stage personnas. Yes, there is a less money involved in Chris's look - a few pairs of well fitting jeans, a few tee shirts and shirts that fit him well (you can tell the guy works out), a couple of chains and leather wrist things, and you're done! When Adam tours, I anticipate he'll need a bigger clothing budget and there will be more cleaning bills!

Adam = change. And Change is good for AI.

LA Times, Rolling Stones and CNN made several write-ups on how adam has changed AI and on Adam's win or lose situation. They believe that win or lose , Adam will soar. Of course we believe that. They guy is talented. But we also need to help him accomplish getting the AI dream.

Adam fans/Glamberts - expect more and more detractors to come out before the tuesday event. There are a lot who would undermine Adam Lambert (bec. of sexual orientation, etc...) but he deserves his chance to get the idol crown. Don't be sway by them. Let's do so.

Just call your friend and family members ask them to vote for Adam.

VOTE VOTE VOTE!! :-) Good Luck Adam!!

There is article i read written by Charlotte of westsidetoday. It is very insightful. Copy paste the link to your URL. After reading it, i got more motivated to encourage people to VOTE.
